Choosing a primer can be tricky business! Luckily, I'm here to tell you the inside scoop. Naturally, I love Dermalogica's Skin Perfect primer and Redness Relief primer, but today I'm going to tell you about a NEW primer we're selling and why I love it just as much as the others. Keep reading to discover just what primers are and why you need to start using one today!
Primer 101.
They create a smooth canvas for your makeup. They make your skin look more illuminated, giving it a “finished” look, unlike with foundation alone. If you have any suspicions, don't! Any makeup artist will tell you, if you want a perfect “editorial” looking complexion, a primer is your go to, helping everything, from your foundation to your eye shadow and even your lipstick stay put from day to night.
Why I love Hydrablur Primer.
This new primer is a luxurious, lightweight and non-greasy, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. It intensely hydrates and smoothes skin, refines pores and mattifies oily shine. Provides light, neutral coverage and lasting make-up wear. It's perfect for anyone with acne, fine line, or wrinkles as it blurs away any imperfections, creating an illusion of radiance. It also provides defense against oiliness and shine thanks to its matte finish. It also has time-released moisture to lock hydration in and naturally reduces the size and appearance of pores. Better yet, it gives a beautiful, neutral coverage, meaning anyone can use it as it blends perfectly into everyone's unique skin tone!
How to Use
- The smartest advice I can give you is to prep first. Exfoliate the night before and apply a moisturizer before the primer. This will smooth any clingy, flaky skin away, allowing the primer's ingredients to blend flawlessly into your skin.
- Don't use too much. Applying too much primer can backfire, causing your foundation to clump or look too shiny. Just start with a dime-size amount, in the center of your face, and blend it outwards. This will keep your foundation true to it's shade, the entire day.
- After applying prescribed Dermalogica Moisturizer, smooth and blend over entire face and throat. Better yet, apply with a damp sponge or foundation brush for an added blurring effect. Bonus, this primer can be worn alone for flawless-looking skin or under make-up for a smooth canvas.
There you have it! This is a primer you want to buy and use now, I promise you won't be disappointed! Like I mentioned above, this primer will blur any imperfections, creating an illusion of radiant, glowing skin. Find it in any of our 4 locations or call us to reserve yours now!
